Privacy Policy

What We Collect

• Account information: Sign in with Apple identifier, email (may be a private relay), display name, timestamps for account creation and last sign‑in.
• Content you add: Children profiles (name, birthdate), artwork images, titles, descriptions, tags, favorites, and collection membership. We do not store GPS location metadata.
• Usage and device information: Device model and OS version for push notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging token, in‑app settings (e.g., haptic preference), subscription status and usage counters (e.g., monthly upload and AI limits), basic server logs for reliability and security.

How We Use Data

• Provide, operate, and improve the app and its features.
• Sync your content across devices via Firebase.
• Enable private sharing and send optional push notifications you request.
• Enforce upload and AI usage limits and manage your subscription entitlements.
• Respond to support requests and protect against abuse and fraud.

AI Processing (Optional)

If you choose the AI feature to generate titles or descriptions, we send a temporary thumbnail URL for the selected artwork to an AI service (via OpenRouter) solely to generate text metadata. This is optional and per‑request. Do not use the AI feature for sensitive images. Review the AI provider’s privacy practices before use. You can continue using ArtSaver Pro without AI.

Sharing and Disclosure

• With your direction: When you invite others to view a child or collection, those recipients can see the selected content.
• Service providers: We use Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Functions, Messaging) to operate the app; and OpenRouter for optional AI processing.
• Legal: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, and users.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention

We retain your content and account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your user documents and associated media from Firebase within a reasonable period, subject to limited backup and log retention for security, billing, and legal compliance.

Security

We use industry‑standard safeguards provided by Firebase, including encryption in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

• Access, export, delete: Export your data and delete your account from the app’s Data Controls. You can also contact us for help.
• Notifications: Control push notifications in the app and your device settings.
• EEA/UK residents: You may have rights to access/rectify/erase, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.
• California residents: We do not sell or share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising. You may request access or deletion by contacting us.

Children’s Privacy

The app is intended for use by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 (or the age defined by your jurisdiction). Parents control any child information entered into the app. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

International Transfers

We may process and store information on servers located in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the app, you consent to those transfers, in accordance with applicable law.
